Going Dutch – a new DP biography

There’s a new Dutch history of Deep Purple in the making, a three parter from author Ruben Vanempten (if the surnames sounds familiar, he is Carl’s son – Carl is a big DP collector). It will be written in Dutch, so if you are interested you can take a look at their web site at the link below. The first book, due December on Merlin Publishing will be available to buy there direct. The follow up volumes will come out next year.

  1. Ruben Says:

    Hey Mark,

Indeed, Belgium it is! Dutch or Flemish is exactly the same language,..
So, you guy’s are both right! And be assured, the book isn’t written in DEUTCH!

So that’s me off the hook, a bonus point for Mark and another plug for the book. Everyone’s a winner! In English or in Deutsche.

  2. purpelaar Says:

    No pun here but…..

Always thought Dr. Carl was from Belgium!
Maybe a book in Flemish is a bit too much?

    Cheers, Mark

    • simon robinson Says:

Ooops! Maybe Ruben (or Carl) will confirm, but you could well be right. At least in the old days letters had an address and / or stamp for me to check! At least I didn’t put Idaho…
