Snakecharming

Another day, another ex-Whitesnake outfit. But this one looks a bit more interesting. Called Snakecharmer, it comprises vocalist Chris Ousey, guitarists Laurie Wisefield (from Wishbone Ash) and Micky Moody, bassist Neil Murray, keyboard player Adam Wakeman (yes, related!) and drummer Harry James (heard not long back on Dn Airey’s album). They have an album out in the new year and will be touring. Check them out at http://www.snakecharmer.org/

I assume these guys are aware that there was a song called Snake Charmer on Rainbow’s first ” LP “?

  2. Steve Says:

Saw them at the Cambridge Rock Festival back in August. Very good indeed.
Set list (if I can decipher my drunken scrawl!):
Walking in the Shadow of the Blues, Ready & Willing, Ain’t Gonna Cry No More Today, Accident Prone, Moody’s slide solo, Slow & Easy, Smoking Gun (off forthcoming album), Crying in the Rain, Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City, Here I go Again, Fool For Your Lovin’
    Encore: Take Me With You.

Much more of a Whitesnake fest than I’d expected Steve, though they may add more new tracks once the album is out. I assume you were sober up to track five?!

  3. Bo Says:

They will for sure sound MUCH more like Whitesnake than Coverdales Whitesnake.
