They’re also on the cover of Fireworks, which is becoming a better read than CR. Less of the dreaded metal, more accepting of Purple’s legacy. Fireworks is more fanziney, but worth getting. Rainbow’s O2 show got a fairer hearing, without ignoring the salient points.

Have to agree; they haven’t forgotten they’re fans first. Was chatting with the editor only this week, ringing us to ask about projects. You don’t get that from CR and the other corporate mags! As a result you feel you’re not just sending stuff into an empty void.
